Adrian and I made it back from our long trip 12 hours later. It was great to see family and friends but I was more than happy to be home and sleep in my own bed! Our pillowtop mattress never felt better. Sunday was spent unpacking and doing laundry. And work continues on…it’s getting harder and harder to focus at work these days. With five weeks or so go to I’m trying to wrap up all of my reports and get things situated with my outpatients. Most of them are just going on hold while I’m out for maternity leave. After this week I have three more weeks of seeing outpatients which isn’t much at all. February I’ll just do inpatients and all my paperwork that needs to be completed before leaving.
Progress on the nursery is coming along. Sunday we were able to put the glider in the nursery and switch the furniture around. The only big piece of furniture we have left to get is a dresser and once our internet is back up hopefully we will order one online through AFEES which is like a big department store for the military. We are quickly running out of room in the nursery though and I don’t even think a baby swing is going to fit comfortably in there once we have a dresser. Damn the air force for making such small rooms on base housing. My work baby shower is this Friday so after that I will be able to finish up all of my baby shopping and be done with it. Installing the car seat is also a priority for this weekend.
On the non-baby front my birthday is Saturday.
I’ll be 30…crazy. How the heck did that happen? It’s going to be a very low key birthday as we plan on making dinner at home Saturday night. Maybe go to a movie depending on how much energy I have after shopping all day.
I have many pictures to post including belly pictures, my shower and xmas but our internet is still down so it has to wait. Verizon is a big pain in the butt…Adrian has been dilligent about staying on top of them and they keep blowing our appointments to come to the house off. It’s very frustrating but I’m thankful he is dealing with it. I wouldn’t have the patience for that at this point. Anyway, back to work…need to stop procrastinating from writing this report.
