Today was our closing and it went perfectly!!! 
Well, minus the few inches of snow on the ground which made driving to the morgate office a nightmare but that’s fine. We can handle driving in a few inches of snow- it’s the other drivers in this area who can’t! Seriously, schools were cancelled the evening before it started snowing!!! Just plain silly. Anyway, we arrived at noon and had our keys in our hand by 2:30. There were many more papers to sign but it wasn’t a huge deal and the entire process of building and buying a house was made quite easy. We are still quite amazed and in shock that the house is officially ours! Adrian went back to work for the rest of the day and I headed to the house to meet with the painter. Words can’t describe how I felt when I used my key to unlock the door for the first time.

I had to wait a good two hours for the painter to finally get to the house since the traffic was so horrible but I didn’t mind at all. It was nice just sitting in the empty and quiet house, taking it all in. Thankfully I had some of my knitting in my car (as I quite often do) so took some mommy time to knit more of the blanket I’m making for baby boy 2. Once Jose, the painter, arrived we went through all the colors and what we wanted done. I then waited for Adrian and Xander to come to the house. Xander enjoyed running through all the rooms once again, and of course opening and closing all the doors. We are very excited to move in. Monday is day 1 of moving day. I don’t expect to be able to post many pictures until at least Friday- when we have Verizon coming to install our FIOS but over the weekend I will post lots of pictures of all the rooms with the paint.
