Garage FAIL!

by Mindi Stavish on April 23, 2011

This morning while Adrian was opening the garage door it started going haywire and completely fell OFF the track.  Thankfully he already moved the cars out of the garage when he heard it sounding odd and luckily he moved out of the way.  If it came crashing down (which it hasn’t yet) he could have been injured.  Needless to say we immediately called Ryan homes.  Since it’s the weekend their call center isn’t open but I left a message.  We will see how quickly they get back to us.  Monday we will call our PM to let him know as well.  A little excitement for our Saturday morning.
Something doesn’t look right here!
Look to the left…beware of falling garage door!
NOT GOOD

Now that is a first. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that. Glad the cars were out and no one was hurt. You don't have your PMs cell? If not I would call the rep at the model and ask for it. I couldn't wait until Monday to call him.

The exact same thing happened to us our first week in the house. Luckily they came out to fix it the day it happened.

We know that RH installs the garage door, but if we decide to install the automatic garage door opener on our own – do you know if this voids any warranty with RH? Just wondering.
