Together with new friends

by Mindi Stavish on June 25, 2011

After many months of chatting on Facebook and through blogging India, and I finally had a chance to meet in person. We met through blogging about our experiences building a Ryan Home in Waldorf. We live within a 10 mile radius of each other and all have kids. We also are all military families. It’s so exciting to meet great people who live close by. I am looking forward to getting to hang out more and enjoy their friendship! It is really hard to meet new friends as a “grown up”, especially ones with kids. We had a great time at India’s today. I also met Arial, a friend of Heather’s, and her baby Matthew. Matthew, Noah and Careena are all under 6 months, so it will be so much fun to watch them grow into little toddlers together.

Xander had a blast today too. He enjoyed playing with Sean and hanging out in the pool and sandbox. Water, sand and new toys…what more could a little boy ask for?

First time in a sandbox...love at first sight!

Babies!

Xander had fun playing with Sean

Hello Mindi,

My name is Alice Jones and India Dixon is married to my cousin Corey. I am putting togehter a book for Sean for him to peruse when he gets older and I came across your post on India’s facebook page and just want to say I love the pictures you have of India and Sean, I noticed you also have a yarn addiction as do i. I crochet and since i’ve learned to read patterns i’ve truly become a case.

Well it was nice meeting you online and hope to keep in touch.

Alice

Thanks so much for reaching out to me. So good to get your comment. Please let me know if you would like copies of all the photos I have of India. i would be more than happy to dig them up for you (without watermarks). It really is the least I can do. Hope all is well with you and your family. I only knew India for a very short time but the time I spent with her was fantastic. She always had a smile on her face. Hooray for yarn addictions.
