We slowly are continuing to decorate our house with furniture, blinds, pictures and more. It is going to take some time but it’s hard to be patient. About a month ago, our family room furniture was delivered. When we moved into our house, I knew I wanted to decorate this room using fall colors because they are my favorite color scheme. Lily is pretty stinking cute too! I just read that she is being replaced with a four-year old on the set and the original Lily was played by a set of twins. Two facts I did not know until now. Anyway, I digress. I don’t have any before pictures of the family room but trust me it was nothing spectacular. We had it filled with old furniture from our town house and lots of toys. The toys have stayed but now we have this fantastic couch, ottoman and end table, which are all comfortable and functional.
I took this picture one morning before heading to work, because the only time this room is this tidy is in the morning and at night after Xander goes to bed Right now this room is where he plays during the day. At some point we will set up the playroom in the basement. As far as the family room, we plan on replacing the table the TV is on with an entertainment system wall and a larger TV. We also would like to buy two chairs, a recliner and a regular sofa like chair. My short term plan for this room is to get some pictures on the wall. I need to get a few more frames at Michael’s and then will start hanging them. It will eventually all come together. I love what we have so far!
