This past Saturday the boys had their first swim class of the new session. It was Noah’s first time in the pool and he loved it. Xander had a blast as well and kept saying “I like that.”. This summer should be a lot of fun for them. After we came back from swimming and lunch I took the boys to the playground to enjoy the unseasonable warm weather here in Maryland. It was 65 degrees and just beautiful! No need to say inside and waste the afternoon away napping. Let’s face it Xander no longer naps anyway, so why not enjoy some playtime. The last time we used the wagon (Halloween) I put the infant car seat on the wagon seat, which left Xander just enough room to sit on the other side. Noah really enjoyed being able to sit in the seat today. He had his tongue out for most of the ride.

Xander always is able to make Noah giggle like a maniac. Such a silly kid!
When I was trying to get pregnant with baby #2 I was disappointed that it didn’t happen right away. It took six months after I stopped breast-feeding to get knocked up. I was hoping to have the boys closer together in age. Now that I’m in the thick of it I am happy with the 26 month gap. Xander can play pretty independently on the playground equipment, while I’m down on the ground with Noah. Every once in a while Xander needed help getting down (the slide). Noah was content to hang out in the wagon or on the ground, so I could help him. Xander is pretty fearless when it comes to climbing these days.
He is into all things sports lately, including football. Perhaps he will be a lot more athletic than his mommy or daddy were growing up.
Is there anything more cute than tiny little legs dangling from a swing?

Adrian and I ended the near perfect Saturday with a birthday celebration date night in Old Town. Italian food and a stroll through Barnes and Noble was just what we needed to reconnect after a long week. In the words of the Julian family “Life is Good”.

I have 2 boys that are 20 months apart. They’re now 8 and almost 10. I love that they are so close in age. They are great friends. It’s a little tough when they’re very young but it’s worth it. I read your bio and see that you like to knit. I do too. We’re in Minnesota and it’s going to be in the high 40′s today. This winter has been very unusual with the warm weather and no snow. We want snow to play in! New follower from the blog hop.
