Leap Into Spring: Rain

by Mindi Stavish on April 26, 2012

My dear husband stalks the weather channel almost daily, hoping for days of rain so our grass is green and his flowers are happy. This week has been nice to him. Today was an extra bonus because I was home when it rained to capture the beauty. These are a few of the flowers he has worked hard to grow this spring. I wish I could say I have a green thumb but that would be a big fat lie. If it requires water, you can bet money on it that I will likely kill it. I love having flowers in my yard as long as someone else is caring for them.
Linking up to Live and Love for a 6 week photography challenge focusing on capturing spring in all it’s beauty. Check it out!

I love your rainy flower photos, Mindi! I, like you, don’t have a green thumb. (And I also love the big blue eyes in your other post!) My kiddos (all grown up now!) have big blue eyes, too.

Love me some blue eyed babies–big and small. I have always wanted blue eyes. It’s just so funny and strange that both of my boys have blue eyes and neither I or dad have them.

Lovely pictures! I think the 4th one is my favorite. I love it when flowers are covered with rain droplets.

Me too!! It is just so pretty. This week we had two mornings where it had rained the night before so I got some more really pretty photos. Can’t wait to post them!
