Friday Favorites from the City of Brotherly Love and Cheesesteak Sandwiches

by Mindi Stavish on May 25, 2012

Last weekend I attended my first blog conference, Bloggy Boot Camp, in Philadelphia.I didn’t have a ton of free time to explore the city, but managed to capture the historic vibe from the city center. I’m putting Philly on our “to-do” list of places to visit this summer as a family. I’m dying to bring the boys to the Please Touch Museum and of course the Liberty Bell.

What are your summer travel plans? Have you ever been to Philadelphia? If so, what part of the city should we stay in? What are the “must see” sights? What are the “must” places to eat?

What have you been up to this week? Getting out there and linking up to Life Rearranged, Give Me Your Best Shot, Favorite Photo Friday, On Snap, Photo Friday, and Our Week By I-Phone

Yes for sure cheesesteak. The first time I came to Philly (for a work conference) I had one and it was soooooo good. There was no time last weekend :( Thanks for the suggestions about the zoo, Please Touch and Magic Gardens!!

Oh I have tons of suggestions, but I’m pressed for time now. On a separate note, would you be interested in doing a guest post for my blog next week?

I wish I could give you some suggestions but I’ve never been. It looks like a beautiful city though. You captured some lovely architectural photos!

I live outside of Philly but I love visiting the city. My favs? Geno’s (for lunch), chilling at Fairmont Park for a while, checking out the Magic Garden (a little weird, but totally unique and cool!), and then walking around downtown. Love this city. :)
