Spring arrived very early and fast here in Maryland. It’s hard to believe we have already been strawberry picking! Last Saturday the weather was perfect and the berries were plump. This was our second year going to Shlagel Farm for picking. Last year the fields weren’t ready until the end of May. I’m anxious to see if all the other summer crops have earlier pick times. Here’s to hoping for early summer tomatoes, cucumbers, and green beans. Yum! I really enjoyed photographing the boys on this day, although our timing wasn’t the best for lighting. We arrived at the farm at 11:00 and midway through picking he light was just too bright. Even when I try to get out out of the house early enough it just doesn’t happen.

Eleven pounds of juicy goodness!

Oooh, this post makes me hungry! I love strawberries! The pics came out great regardless of the harsh late morning sun! I love that first shot; it’s fantastic! That strawberry has some major blemishes ;o) I see that you’ve used my collage templates too; well done!

awesome photos. i wish we had some together of the kids!
How fun, I love fresh strawberries! We were just visiting the Carolinas last week and went to a farm and picked some, they were definitely at their peek. It’s hard to pick a favorite shot but I really like the first one. I like how the strawberry is in focus and the little one is blurred out.
