I am so happy to be able to celebrate Father’s Day with my husband. He is an amazing dad and I’m thankful my boys have a wonderful role model. Xander was pretty hysterical this year when it came to giving daddy his presents. I brought both boys father’s day shopping, so X knew what we bought daddy. He has a really good memory and doesn’t forget. Being a three year old, he doesn’t quite get the surprise factor of presents. I am actually shocked he didn’t tell Adrian what we bought him right away. Nope, he waited until daddy was opening each present! Just too funny. He was pretty cute saying “Happy birthday daddy!” when I asked him to say “Happy father’s day daddy.”. Man he is going to be come confused when we celebrate daddy’s actual birthday on July 2nd. All day Saturday I kept reminding him that it’s father’s day not daddy’s birthday. He just kept saying, “I think daddy would want a Transformers cake for his birthday.”. Ah, I love the mind of a three-year-old. You just never know what to expect.
Man how did this post turn into a post about Xander? Back on track. I love watching Adrian with the boys. He is a very hands on dad, who loves getting down on the floor with the boys and just playing. My absolute favorite part about my husband as a dad is how very protective he is of his boys. It just melts my heart. I asked him to share his thoughts about being a dad for a post on the blog but that idea didn’t fly very well. I even tried to convince him that there are many dad bloggers out there. No dice. So sorry you just have me rambling. Enough of the rambling. It’s late and it’s been a loooong day. Here is a quick peek of our day around the house today, celebrating dad.

Even though I could not spend the day with my own dad I hope he had a great father’s day, hopefully hiking in Maine. I love him with all my heart and miss him everyday. He is always there for me and a huge part of my life. The boys just love their Grampy!
Happy father’s day to all dad’s out there! I hope you enjoyed your day loving on your babies.

I love the look on Xander’s face, like “momma! You have got to be kidding me!” Your boys are too cute!

I love that Xander and your husband are wearing matching Superman shirts, so sweet!
I was a horrible wife & mother and didn’t get my husband anything for Father’s Day. I didn’t get anything Mother’s Day so I thought it was only fair but felt bad at the end of the day
