Finished Object: Handknit Milan Jacket for Noah

by Mindi Stavish on August 28, 2012

I finished this sweater months and months ago, but it has been way too hot to get some pictures of Noah wearing it. Last week we had a brisk morning so I took advantage of the great light for a mini photo session with my little redhead. I’m so sad that Noah really isn’t going to get a whole lot of wear out of this.  Fall in DC is still warm until October, so he will probably grow out of it before then.  I should have knit one size larger.  I just can’t get enough of these pictures!

That is a beautiful sweater! You did a great job on it… I on the other hand have no clue how to knit and rely on the store to sell cute sweaters like that!

Today, while I was at work, my sister stole my iPad and tested to see if it can survive a 25 foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My iPad is now destroyed and she has 83 views. I know this is totally off topic but I had to share it with someone!

Wow! You’ve got skills. It came out so cute. Maybe he’ll be able to squeeze in it a bit longer!

Thanks so much! I really hope so. If not hopefully sizing will work out whenever baby #3 comes along.

Thanks! I really hope so. Or I hope to be able to use it when baby number three finally happens.

Adorable! Hopefully he’ll be able to wear it for a little while. Sizing for kids is so tricky – they grow faster than I can knit!

LOVE the jacket. I’m currently knitting a pair of longies for my daughter and hope to knit a cardigan for her once I’m finished, especially since cooler weather is coming.
