Your now a true little brother, poking, pinching and nudging big brother out of the way. Staking your claim.
You adore your brother. Always right by his side, playing with cars and tossing around a ball.
You love your hot wheels, balls, fuzzy stuffed animals and small toys that you strongly clutch in your little hand.
You know the sound of a running bath. As soon as the water starts to drip, I hear you scamper toward the bathroom with the widest grin plastered on your sweet face.
Your still a little peanut, who loves to give huge big open mouth kisses.
Your little giggle is contagious. It fills a room with so much joy.
Your voice is sweet to hear. Your words are amazing- woof, up and go are just a few you know.
Your red curls matted down when you wake up from your slumber. I’ll shed tears when it’s time to cut them.
Your big blue eyes as they light up when you spy me at the door, during daycare pick up. When I lift you up you wrap your arms around me and snuggle into my chest. My happy moment.
You’re a mommy’s boy. You hang out under my feet when I’m making dinner, begging to be picked up.
You still despise your car seat. You arch your back, twist and turn as soon as I attempt to sit you down.
Your not ready to give up nursing just yet. I’ve tried. And failed. Maybe this month? Just know you won’t be nursing at three or four. This mommy has a limit. You’ve been warned.
Your walking now. On the day you turned 16 months. Your officially a toddler.
I love you, my little toddler.

They really do turn into toddlers when they start walking.

I have a boy about the same age, and he does a lot of the same things. Such a fun (and exhausting) bit of toddlerhood!

This age is so much fun! But then again I say that about every age…all except for the potty training stage.

Thanks! I can’t believe how fast he has taken off. 2 weeks ago he was barely standing and now he is walking everywhere. SO much fun to watch!

Oh I am putting that off for as looong as I can. Xander didn’t have his first hair cut until 18 months but I’m going to hold off with Noah for longer if possible. I love his curls and how soft baby hair is. Once you cut it it changes so much.

Oh this is sooooo exciting! You really have a toddler on your hands now! Now you will not be able to stop him! He sounds like my little one sitting by your feet as you make dinner just wanting to be picked up! As much as it drives me crazy that I can’t get anything done; I wouldn’t change it for the world
)
Oh I know I wouldn’t change it for the world either. Before we know it they will be grown and staying over friends house for dinner. Not wanting to come home. Then we will certainly miss the days of them tugging on us.
