So you may remember that I’m participating in the Ravellenic Games throughout the Summer Olympics. My project is the Providence Hoodie from the New England Knits book and I’m knitting it with Tess Designer Yarns. The yarn is amazing and the pattern is fun BUT I’ve had some bumps along the way. One word: BlogHer12. I lost four knitting days while in NYC soaking up blogging fun, the sights of NYC and possibly a few too many glasses of mommy juice.
I did manage to knit on the bus ride there and back, which was great. Except on the way home I was exhausted and not paying attention. I managed to knit six rows completely wrong and so on Monday morning I had to frog back all of the rows….935 stitches. I wanted to curl into a ball and cry.

Monday night I managed to get about 4 rows complete before I started to dose off, so needless to say there has been very little knitting accomplished over the weekend. What you are looking at here is the bottom sweater band and a few completed rows above the band.
After posting my project to the Ravellenic Games Social Media Link Up last week the host, Jeanne from Life in Cleveland asked if I wanted to co-host with her. Of course I was excited and honored. Jeanne is knitting the gorgeous Fragile Heart Shawl for the games.

Pretty, huh? I’m seriously in love with it and itching to cast on a shawl once I finish my sweater. I haven’t knit a shawl since I completed the Woodland Shawl in 2008. I believe it is time. But first…the gold. Or bronze..or runner up.
Are you a knitter participating in the Ravellenic Games? If so, link up and join in the fun!
Ravellenic Games Social Media Link Up:
1.) You can link to any social media site except for Ravelry. So your blog, twitter feed, a podcast, facebook page, vlog, instagram, whatever you want. However there are a whole bunch of amazing and awesome ways to search for participants within Ravelry so this is not for that.
2.) You can link up THREE of your social media sites! Yes THREE! I”m linking to my blog, twitter, and Instagram.
3.) Please follow/like/subscribe to at least a few other participants in the list. The whole point of this is to follow along and support each other throughout the games! Plus I’d love it if you followed me and Jeanne too…
4.) If you want to grab a button and let others know you are participating:
