Even though I just had 10 glorious days off from work, I am so not ready to be back at work. I am ready to get back to blogging though! I have so many photos to sort through and stories to share. Now that vacation is over, I can look ahead to the fall season, my absolute favorite time of the year. My fall bucket list is overflowing with activities I hope to enjoy before winter arrives.
Here is a quick catch up of what’s been going in the the Stavish house before and after our long road trip to New England.
A few weeks ago we headed to Old Town for a trip to my favorite yarn store and cupcakes. The lighting was divine at the cupcake store and I snapped a bunch of great pictures of the boys. Here is a favorite!
More photos of our day in Old Town coming soon!
If you remember our family cat of 9 years, Emma, passed away in June. We decided we were ready for another cat when we fell in love with this kitten about three weeks ago. Meet sweet but crazy 3 month old Kailey. The boys are quite in love with her.
We are pretty excited that football season has started! Noah now yells “touchdown” on command and Xander is pumped for games. I can’t wait to share our pictures and thoughts on our first NFL game. It was a surreal experience. Even though we won’t be making our annual trip to Oklahoma for a Sooners football game (sad face), seeing the Patriots play was just as amazing.
Last night Noah met a milestone no parent every looks forward to, the first trip to the Emergency Room to sew bits of your baby back together. After bath time, Noah was being his normal goofball self and sitting on Xander’s potty. As I was getting a band aid for Xander’s back (since Noah bit him and band aids make everything better when you are three), Noah fell face first and hit his forehead on the wooden step stool. I rushed to pick him up and when I did saw blood spurting from his forehead. The gash was unlike any other cut I’ve ever seen. Yup, it was deep. My poor boy! Off to the emergency room we went. Surprisingly enough a cut to the head doesn’t stop our crazy little redhead. He was still running around in circles at the ER. After waiting about an hour, the doctor took one look at the cut and confirmed that Noah would need stitches. Thankfully she was amazingly fast and gentle. We were in and out of the ER within an hour and a half.
A worried mama and her boy
The day after Humpty Dumpty was put back together
With the arrival of fall weather (in the mornings) I’m so excited to be able to dress the boys in hand knit sweaters. I’m even more excited to see the beginning of the turn of colors. Oh it’s the most wonderful time of the year!
That’s all the randomness for today. Be sure to check out my guest post over at Crazy Crafty Cool for tasty Fall Chocolate Halloween Bark.

As soon as I saw Noah in that gorgeous green sweater, I was wondering if you made it. Go you!!! That is beautiful and what great color on him.
Glad he is all taken care of and back to his fun!!

Thanks so much! It’s been so fun pulling out all of Xander’s old sweaters. Now I need to get to knitting Xander at least one for this fall/winter since he doesn’t have any.
Poor Noah! So scary when the little ones get hurt like that!
Yes so very scary. I’m just thankful he didn’t have a concussion.
That kitten is ENTIRELY TOO CUTE! Seriously adorable.
Love all the photos, thanks for sharing!

She has been a lot of fun but I forgot just how crazy kittens are. She literally tries to climb up your leg and sit on your shoulder!
Aww, your new kitty is adorable! And I’m so sorry about your little one getting hurt! Though he looks adorable in that green sweater. With the turn of the season, getting out the comfy sweaters and scarves is another one of my favorite things!

The kitty trying to get the milk is so cute! Love it! We had an ER trip yesterday for the same thing! My 3 year old tripped on the sidewalk and cracked open the front of her head. Sigh…wish they could be put in bubble wrap to keep them from getting hurt! Stopping by from SITS today!

Ugh I totally could use a bubble for both of my boys!! I am surprised my 3 year old has avoided any major injuries so far. I’m sure his time is coming.

Poor Noah! I hate when my kids get sick or injure themselves. It’s not fun.

Sounds like some wonderful fun was had in Old Town. Hope your little tornado feels better. None of my three have required stitches so far… knock on wood!!!

Poor little guy! So glad he did well at the ER. We (knock on wood) haven’t had to take any of our four kids there yet…I somehow managed to avoid it myself growing up so I’m just *hoping* they do, too.
I absolutely love that green sweater. You made it?! Wow!
Your boys are adorable! Oh, and the kitten!! We have two kittens and the kids LOVE THEM.

Poor Humpty Dumpty. And head cuts are awful because they bleed so much.
I’m now craving a cupcake….
