I am behind in posting photos from our last two games in my family’s 6 Ballparks, 1 Summer Challenge. About a month ago, we attended a Southern Maryland Blue Crabs game just 8 miles from our house. If you remember, the last game we went to prior to this was 100 miles away! It was nice to be so close to the ballpark. We for sure need to get to more Blue Crabs games next year.
The stadium was extremely nice with great seats and an entire area for kids, including a rock climbing wall, large playground, multiple moon bounces, bumper boats, and a sand pit. Yes, at a baseball stadium! My favorite part about the park was the nursing lounge for breastfeeding moms. HUGE props!! This was the first time I have ever seen a nursing lounge at a sporting facility. Last fall when I attempted to nurse Noah in the lounge at the Verizon Center during a Washington Capitals game, I was told that I needed to go to the first aid office to do that. What and the what?! Needless to say, I nursed him at my seat for the remainder of the season and didn’t care if people saw a nip here or there.
Ok, rant over. Back to the game. Great stadium, wonderful family atmosphere and perfect day for a baseball game (after the game was rained out the night before).
If your wondering if we did in fact meet our challenge of 6 ballparks in 1 summer, we did- sort of. We did see games at all six ballparks, but the last game was one day after summer ended. Close enough, right? Phew, that is a whole lot of baseball travel. It’s probably not over though, as I believe Adrian wants to go to a Nationals playoff game. I guess we need something to do since it seems the NHL can’t get it’s act together? Stay tuned.

That parks sounds like a good one, a nursing lounge and play area for kids? Perfect for families!
