A Perfect Sorta Birthday

Last Thursday I celebrated my 34th birthday. It was a perfect day and one I never want to forget. Work was rather slow, so I had a bit of time to myself in the afternoon. I spent a couple of hours with my camera and tripod taking updated pregnancy bump photos, which I posted last week. In case you missed it here is one of my favorite shots.

Adrian met me at home around 4 pm and we drove to my anatomy scan together. It was so much fun to get a glimpse of the little bump for a bit. During the ultrasound we discovered that baby is already quite stubborn. He or she would not cooperate for the tech, so she wasn’t able to get all the necessary measurements. Needless to say, dad did not find out the gender because baby wasn’t giving it away. We did get a great profile shot!

After our ultrasound, we picked the boys up from daycare and went to dinner at Carraba’s. Dinner was delicious and I enjoyed the time we spent together. When we were ready to pay our bill, our waitress said we were all set. Another patron in the restaurant paid our bill to thank Adrian for his service (he was in his BDU’s). My mind was blown! We have never had that happen to us and I was in tears from this kind gesture. We looked around the restaurant with smiles on our faces, not knowing who was so very kind. My heart and belly was sure full when we left.

Once we got home from dinner, we did the cake and presents bit. Adrian ordered a fruit tart cake from Wegmans and it was DELICIOUS!

I can only hope that 34 is as good to me as my actual birthday was! Here is to another fun year of living life!
