32 Week Baby Bump

32 weeks

Thoughts and Ponderings

I’m officially 33 weeks, and 3 days, but I didn’t have a chance to post this update last week. Every night before I go to bed I open my IPregnancy App (which I LOVE) to look at the countdown until full term and my due date. Um, last night it told me there is 46 days until my due date and just TWENTY-FIVE until I’m full term (37 weeks). What?! Noah made his arrival at 37 weeks, so I figure anything at or after 37 weeks is fair game. Must get moving on so many things. There isn’t a whole lot to buy for this little peanut, but I do have a short list of needs and an even shorter list of wants, including a new baby carrier. I am trying to decide between a ring sling and a Becco Gemeni. My Ergo has been wonderful for the past 2 years through 2 babies, but I’m ready for something different. Anyway, I haven’t even made a cohesive sort of list at this point. My running list is in my scattered brain and I need to get it down on paper or onto the computer. It’s been on my to-do list for several weeks now.

I also need to finish and start a few more knitting projects for this baby, order shirts for all three kids for the newborn photo shoot, and knit 3 sort of matching hats for them. Wow, it’s strange to say three! I seriously wish I could start maternity leave right now to have some time to get things done.

Complaints and Happy Thoughts

I don’t have many complaints at this point. Occasionally I get horrible calf or butt cramps at night or first thing in the morning. Lately I have also been experiencing some lower back/upper butt pain which I’m assuming is sciatic pain. Just these past few days I have started to have that “I have to pee right now” feeling all the time. It’s quite annoying when I’m on the road for work and no where near a bathroom.

As baby’s arrival approaches I am becoming more and more excited about having a newborn in the house again. I also am getting super giddy and anxious to find out if baby is a boy or girl. I am not going to sugar coat things here- I want a girl. I love my little boys to death but there needs to be some sort of balance in this house. I would like a bit of pink, purple, tutus, and bows thank you very much. Of course I will love a boy just as much, considering I know how to be a boy mom.

I FINALLY have much to report in this area!!! The walls are finally painted, after much pain and agony of hassling the contractors we hired to finish their job. That’s another whole story in itself. Let’s just say when we want to paint again we will not be hiring them back. The crib is put back together, except we need to find the bolts to raise it up. The dresser arrived on Friday- damaged! Ugh! We need to deal with that mess. The only piece of furniture that needs to be purchased is a new chair, which I hope to window shop for this week and then order as soon as our tax refund arrives.

I also finished sewing the curtains and the crib sheet, which both come out great. This week I hope to get the crib skirt done. I have one more craft project for the walls, but need to do some brainstorming/craft store shopping before starting it.

It’s crunch time!  Soon we will have three Stavish kids plotting to take over the world!

It’s been another busy week for the Stavish family. I wrapped up my Blissdom conference in Dallas on Sunday, to return to my lovely boys. I missed them like crazy, but they had a blast with daddy over the weekend. Upon my return I spent Monday trying to shake off extreme fatigue, working and catching up on my articles for Everyday Family. As part of this weekly post, I will share the articles that I wrote over the week here. I’d love for you to check them out over there!

I shared my story about Xander’s first trip to the eye doctor and the importance of caring for your child’s eyes, including locating a pediatric opthomologist for medical care.

In the pregnancy blog I wrote about a fairly new Congenital Heart Screening that your baby should have done in the hospital. Do you know about it?

Ok on to the pictures!!!

Project 365: Week 9- Morning Play

March 1, 2013 Project 365

During the work week, my favorite time of the day is in the morning. This seems very odd to me, since I’m totally not a morning person. Lately the boys have been pretty low key and into their play during and after breakfast.  I can’t resist wanting to spend a few extra minutes playing with [...]

18 Week Baby Bump + Ultrasound Pictures

January 12, 2013 Pregnancy

Major Events Another major milestone has passed and I can hardly believe it. On Thursday, my birthday, Adrian and I attended my anatomy scan ultrasound. I had butterflies in my stomach all day long in anticipation of the appointment. There is something so magical and nerve wracking about seeing the baby on the screen. Our [...]
