Meal planning

Yesterday I received a large box full of sauces from WORLDFOODS, as part of the Fusion Taste Team USA Campaign. Over the next six weeks, I will be cooking with and reviewing WORLDFOOD’s all natural ingredient Asian sauces. I have been searching for sauces that do not contain contain artificial preservatives, colors, flavors, gluten or genetically modified ingredients for quite some time.  I am  excited to try these sauces out.

Team Maryland is competing against other states for a chance to win some pretty great prizes. The team with the most descriptive, imaginative posts who receive the most Facebook likes, Tweets, and Pins is crowned the winner. Fun, right?

What is not fun is trying to cook a decent meal after a long day at work, when your 3 year old and 18 month old are starving and want to be fed RIGHT NOW! After daycare snacks do not hold these guys over, so I need quick and easy meals, on nights when we get home late.

Tonight was one of those nights. Thankfully I already planned to make Tilapia tonight, but wanted to do something different. I quickly scanned through my WORLDFOODS sauces and selected the Thai Cambodian Pineapple Lemongrass Sauce. As I started dinner, I plopped both boys up on the counter and we got to work.

Within 15 minutes I had dinner on the table. Noah clapped when I set his in front of him. I love this kid!

A mere five minutes later, Noah’s plate was licked clean (seriously he licked it!). Xander finished his dinner in record time too. A win for mommy tonight!

Team Maryland would love your help in supporting out team. Visit our pin a few of our recipes on our team Pinterest board, visit WorldFoods on Facebook and mention this post, or follow and share this on Twitter.

Disclaimer:I was provided with WORLDFOODS products as part of the Fusion Taste USA Challenge, however, all opinions expressed are my own.

Monday- Dinner out with friends from work
Tuesday- Garlic Spinach Stuffed Chicken with Couscous
Wednesday- Pecan crusted mahi mahi (Meal makeover moms adaptation from Almond crusted Tilapia)  with sweet potatoes and spinach
Thursday- Oodles of Orzo Zucchini (Meal makeover mom No Whine with Dinner)
Friday-  Garlic Pork Roast and Green Beans  *Didn’t end up making this last week so it’s on the menu again. Just hope I remember to pull the Pork Roast out of the freezer!

May 23, 2011 Meal Planning

I’m not sure we can eat all the strawberries we picked before they go bad so I’m going to break out the Kitchen Aide ice cream attachment for the first time and make strawberry ice cream this week- yum!  I think I may also make some strawberry muffins.  I’ve only picked one new recipe for [...]

May 9, 2011 Meal Planning

Cooking dinner these days can be tricky since Noah typically wants to power feed in the evening.  Thankfully Xander plays by himself readily while I’m making dinner.  As other parents know it can be quite a juggling act to get a decent meal on the table but I feel that it’s important to share a [...]
