What I’m Loving Wednesday

by Mindi Stavish on September 6, 2011

Yet another link up with This Little Love for What I’m Loving Wednesday. I am going to keep this as a regular weekly thing because it’s just too much fun.

I’m loving that fall is here!!  My favorite season with apples, pumpkins, baking, crisp leaves, foliage “sweater weather”, and cute kids in Halloween costumes.  Not to mention the start of all the fun holidays.  Here is a flashback picture of Xander two years ago.  This was one of my favorite days with him that fall.  We had a great time walking around and playing on The National Mall on a warm day.

I’m loving the sound of the rain at night and adorable toddlers in the rain boots and coat.

I’m loving babies first tastes of food. As a Speech-Language Pathologist who works mostly with kids with feeding disorders it’s so great to watch my own children go through the various stages of feeding. Noah isn’t too sure about this rice cereal stuff. I can’t say I blame him, but the faces he was making were priceless.
I’m loving that we had a wonderful family trip to Oklahoma and watched our Sooners stomp Tulsa. I plan on posted more on our trip this weekend!
I’m loving that Noah’s surgery went well and his incision is fully healed.
I’m loving that I finally figured out where and how I want to arrange all the wonderful professional photos done by Little Moon Photography we have of the boys. I am going to do a collage with simple black frames in the family room set up like this.  The top and bottom pictures are 5 X 7′s and the middle are 8 x 10′s.   In the master bedroom I’m going to do a wall like this.
Lastly I’m loving every day and all day my sweet, sweet boys.  Notice our new family room furniture? I need to post about our new house updates too.  We have been busy!
What are you loving this week??

Oklahoma College Football

by Mindi Stavish on September 3, 2011

Before tonight’s game the boys had fun clowning around on the couch at the hotel while mommy tried to get some good pictures. If this is a look into the future we are in trouble and I may never get a good picture! :) I love how silly they are together. Noah adores his big brother.
We got to the stadium about 45 minutes before the game started, which gave us time to get food and find our seats. It was super hot, but as the sun went down the heat did too. Xander got upset when he first heard the loud “Boomer Sooner” cheering, but quickly became accustomed to it. I wish we had brought his noise reduction head phones, but it didn’t even cross my mind when we were packing for our trip.

Crazy fun fans!
OOOOOOOOU
I had yet another proud NIP (nursing in public) moment…nursed Noah in the stands without flashing myself.  It was not the most comfortable place to nurse but it’s better than any nasty restroom in the stadium.

Annual Stavish Family photo at the game..love watching it grow!
We left the game at halftime since OU was stomping Tulsa.  On our way back to the hotel we stopped at McAlister’s for dinner.  They have amazing sweet tea and great salads and sandwiches.  Xander was wide awake and a happy monkey.  He seemed to enjoy the game, especially his new horse stuffed animal.

Tomorrow we will eat an early lunch at Cattleman’s Steakhouse before heading to the airport. We have had a fantastic trip with our little monkeys. We have enjoyed the mid-western hospitality.  Until next year Oklahoma- Boomer, Sooner.

Boomer Sooner Time

September 6, 2010 Family

Tonight was Oklahoma’s opening football game. We ended up buying the game on PPV through Direct TV, since it wasn’t on any local channels or ESPN. We have been teaching Xander how to do the touchdown signal and OU cheer for awhile now. He had fun hamming it up for the camera and doing it. [...]

Saturday is college football game day!!

November 15, 2009 Traveling

Today was a full day of fun, food, and FOOTBALL! We started the day at our favorite breakfast place La Baguette. Unfortunately we had really sloooow service but the food made up for it. Xander enjoyed sitting on the table while we were waiting to be seated. Check out the football helmet hat I knit [...]
